Due to increased E-Mail SPOOFing traffic, we have implemented E-Mail Authentication on our E-Mail Servers. Please ensure that your E-Mail client has the appropriate "Authentication" box checked.
What is SPOOFing?
A SPOOFed E-Mail is a message that appears to be from someone it's not actually from. You may have received a message from someone's E-Mail address you recognize, but the message is SPAM or Junk Mail. This is most likely a SPOOFed message.
This is done by someone sending Bulk/Junk Mail (SPAM) and setting their software so that it appears to come from someone you know. Many Virus's and Worms can also do this, but instead of Junk Mail/SPAM, the message can contain a Virus or Worm. These Virus's and Worms are usually intended to infect your system to propagate the Virus or Worm even further.
Our E-Mail servers check all incoming and outgoing messages for any malicious code such as Virus's and Worms. Our Server Level Anti-Virus Software stops 99.3% of all malicious code. This system is redundant by other protections that catch the remaining 0.7%.
Our systems can only protect E-Mail and Web Content so it is very important that you have Anti-Virus software installed on your computers & servers. It is also very important that you keep that software updated to catch the latest threats.
